The Smithy Cottage is an ideal base from which to explore the local area. Sally has skilfully converted this former wheelwright’s workshop which was in use until the 1930s. There are panoramic views of the moor and a network of footpaths can be enjoyed from the front door.
The accommodation comprises an open plan living room with a comfortable sofa bed, dining area and a modern fitted kitchen. There is a cosy double bedroom and a separate shower room and toilet.
Off road parking 40m in layby adjacent to owner’s home. Secure cycle storage can be provided.
All linen, towels and dog blankets are included and a Devon cream tea is provided on arrival. Daily newspapers can be ordered in advance.
Sally loves her garden which she has created over the past 25 years and hopes you will find time to sit and relax in it. Many guests take the time to explore our 3 acre woodland area and let their dog run safely whilst they sit and enjoy the sounds of the stream which runs along the boundary.
We are fortunate to have a number of guests who return once or twice each year, but we also love to welcome new people to this very special place. We hope you might be one of them.
Cyclists are welcome – the cottage is on route 27.
