Calling all musicians for the MayFesters band

Hello Mayfesters!

 I’m so pleased to be taking the reins with the MayFesters band this year.  I love leading large groups of mixed instrument, mixed ability and mixed age and hope I can encourage you to come back and join in again this year. We’ll learn Cornish tunes, by ear and from notation. However you learn and play music, and whether you are a beginner or a well-seasoned professional – we’ll make sure you can join in, (enjoy a little challenge perhaps?) and have fun being part of a big band. I’l

I’ve got a set of Cornish tunes in mind, both for the procession and the gigs – a few favourites tunes from previous years  – and some new ones. We’ll leave a little space in the programme for you to share your ideas/favourite tunes/new composition!?

 So whatever you play, there will be no barriers – so please join in.  ‘The more the merrier’ could not be more apt for this gig!

Please tell all your musical friends, and get them to come too. It’ll be fun.
