Food That’s Among the Best in England.

Fine-dining, Brasserie style, or hearty pub-classics, find delicious food to suit every occasion from different restaurant areas at the Arundell Arms. All use fresh produce from local suppliers and all are led by Head Chef, Steven Pidgeon – internationally recognised for modern British cuisine and 1 of only 80 Master Chefs in Great Britain. This year we celebrate 20 consecutive years holding the AA 2 Rosette find dining award.

Our main restaurant is always popular and attracts many non-residents. Fine dining dishes and attentive, friendly service makes this an ideal restaurant for any occasion. We are really proud of our reputation for reliably good food. We have held 2 AA rosettes continuously since 1987. We frequently offer a 5 course tasting menu. Like all of our food, this is seasonal and changes constantly to reflect what is best that day or week.
Sunday lunch is always popular in our main dining room, perfect for a family get together or celebration. Open 7 days a week | Lunch 12.30 – 2.00pm | Dinner 7.00 – 9.30pm

Courthouse Bar The Lifton Courthouse Bar was formerly the old police station and Court and it still retains the original cells complete with bars over the windows. Serving pub favourites as well as a regularly changing specials board and children’s menu, the bar has a great character and welcoming atmosphere. We serve well kept local and regional real ales and also have a great value list of wines available by the glass and bottle. Children and well behaved dogs are welcome. They, like all our guests, can be sure of a warm welcome at the Courthouse Bar. Bar meals served Tuesday – Saturday 12pm – 2pm and 6pm – 9 pm. Sunday lunch 12pm to 2pm.
