The Copper Pot is a truly unique glampsite at the heart of the Tamar Valley National Landscape. Located just a few miles from Tavistock in Devon, yet on the Cornish side of the River Tamar, you’ll find us in a small, picturesque, tranquil and secluded setting. When you stay with us you can choose to stay in the privacy of your own tent or settle around one of two communal fire pits with their wood burning BBQs.
There’s also a fully fitted communal kitchen complete with gas hobs, cutlery and crockery. We provide complimentary tea, coffee and sugar, as well as salt, pepper, spices and more so you don’t have to weigh yourself bringing kitchen ingredients. This is especially important if you’re stopping with us on the Tamara Coast to Coast Way or other glorious walking routes nearby.
There are two bathroom units onsite supplied with to showers (the water pressure is great), basins and changing areas. Ther’s a sink for handwashing and toothbrushing as well as two composting toilets. We provide all the biodegradable soaps, detergents and shampoos you might need.. so again, less to pack!
One of the delights of this type of camping is the ability to pull up a chair around the campfire, chat or simply listen to the sounds of the night. You can even cook your supper on the fire if you wish… Honestly, modern life will seem a million miles away!
