Event Details
This annual Fete takes place in the King George V playing fields in St Anns Chapel. This is the 4th year we are holding this event and we are growing and evolving everytime. After listening to feedback from last years event we have been working to address these and help improve the day for everyone. So this year we have obtained off-site parking in the field next door allowing for more parking and more space in the field as we expand the Fete.
We have booked children’s activities, an inflatable assault course, a zorb park, a traditional swinging roundabout, a test your strength hammer throw, and children’s face painting to name a few. Also, a live band playing on stage, the Dog Show with 10 classes to enter is returning to its own show ring this year.
The classic cars are on display again for a wander around. A programme of entertainment in the grand arena has been expanded to keep everyone entertained during the afternoon. The Children’s Art competition is running again as it proved very popular last year with 2 age groups this time. A Craft tent with 20 stalls and over 30 stands in the Market Street area where you can see community and charity stands alongside local traders and crafters with a great variety of information and goods to sell.
Keeping it local to complete your experience the Rifle Volunteer has a beer & burger food bar, The Tamar Teasers Red Hatter group are manning the Tea Tent with teas & cakes. Helluva Pasties have promised not to run out of pasties
this year as well as Bens Ice Cream Van with their 99’s and lollies. The Fire Service is hoping to attend again, parking by the entrance just in case they get called out to a shout.
There are 2 entrances to the Fete. The main entrance is by the play park where Disabled parking has been allocated in the car park there. Pedestrians only this year as car parking is off site so access will be up the main drive to the field. The other entrance is via the public footpath that runs behind the Rifle into the field. First Aid and toilets are on site.
Admission is the same as last year at only £3 for Adults (12 yrs ) children are free.

Event Details
Meditation with breath work precedes a yoga-based movement practice concluding with a luxurious guided relaxation. This workshop is designed to be accessible by everyone.
The yoga can be done either seated or standing, depending on how you feel on the day. If you have already attended the Pain Café at Saltash Studios, you will have experienced a gentle seated practice that most people find they can engage with. The movement will be modified where possible to suit your individual needs. You can choose to remain seated for the relaxation or come down to lay on the floor, on a yoga mat. (Please request if you need to borrow a mat.)
Nestle into the warmth and serenity of this cosy workshop. Through the combined practice of calming meditation, gentle yogic movement and extended guided relaxation (Yoga Nidra), you will be invited to unwind, release tension, and give your body permission to rest deeply. Bring plenty of blankets and cushions to use as comfortable props beneath and around you to help you make the most comfortable ‘nest’ possible and to keep you toasty warm. Wear comfortable layered warm clothing and don’t forget your fluffiest socks!
Please note: Being able to move around is essential for pain sufferers, so please be mindful when booking on this workshop that some people may need to change their position once settled. You may find it useful to come along with a friend, carer or relative if you need assistance with movement.
Visit www.kernowyoga.co.uk for more information about my yoga

A beautiful exploration of engineless sailing, shot on analogue film over three years. The film delves into the experiences of those who travel solely by harnessing the natural elements alone, following a diverse array of traditional boats and uncovering the unique rhythms and motivations of engineless navigation.
Journeying through rivers, coastlines, and open seas, spanning the UK, the Netherlands, and France, Wind, Tide & Oar creates a contemplative space, addressing themes of ecology, heritage, traditional skills, and maritime history. Using a 1960s hand-wound camera, Wahl offers a poetic and intimate perspective on a millennia-old craft, upended by the invention of mechanised power.
“A work of exceptional artistic skill…one of the most daringly ambitious and original films of the year. ★★★★” Film Review Daily
“This contemplative documentary is a feast for the ears and the eyes, its gorgeous imagery giving Turner a run for his money” – The Guardian

Event Details
Natalia Charogianni leads a workshop based on a Chinese technique of using the side of the hand to make prints that resemble prawns.
The session will start with designing the plate on which the prawn prints will be made. We will decorate the rim of the plate using masking fluid and Chinese watercolour paints, building designs in layers. While this is drying we will look at the anatomy of a prawn and start making some initial hand prints to test out the marks the side of our hand can make and how to best position it and apply paint.
Once we have mastered that, we will learn how to add additional details, like the prawn’s tail, head, legs and antennae. When we are confident we will proceed to print on our finished plate.
£10 Price includes all materials.

Join local artist Nicky Harwood to discover the magic of tetra pak (fruit juice cartons) drypoint – a versatile and exciting printmaking technique.
-Learn various techniques to create one-of-a-kind, vibrant prints.
-Experiment with textures, colours, and tools to bring your vision to life.
Drypoint is a printmaking technique where an image is created by scratching directly into a metal plate with a sharp tool, like a needle or diamond point. The scratches, along with the burr (a raised edge created by the tool), hold ink, which is then transferred to paper under pressure to create a print.

Synopsis
Elizabethan theatre is flourishing. But will a brand-new Tudor musical romp, in which Good Queen Bess takes to the stage herself, be the making of this heroine or spell the beginning of her downfall? The stage is set for regicidal rivalries, devious dramatics, and plotting playwrights. Beset by misunderstandings and a script that…let’s just say…needs some work, this production promises to be largely historical, totally hysterical. As the old saying goes…thy show must go-eth on!
