FULL Information

I am a Blue Badge Tourist Guide and can offer bespoke tours   Around the Valley  and further afield, which can include walks, visits to gardens, castles and historic houses, a river trip and the scenic Tamar Valley Railway line. Each trip could also encompass a pub lunch or cream tea!  Plus lots of stories and quirky facts on each tour…

Walks, talks, boat, train and coach trips which can be organised for individuals, small parties, wedding guests and special interest groups up and down the Valley, from Plymouth to Bude via Launceston and of course further afield.

The Blue Badge, not to be confused with the disability parking badge, is a nationally and internationally recognised and examined qualification in Tourist Guiding, so you can be confident you are getting the best available. The West Country Blue Badge embraces knowledge of the six counties, Cornwall. Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire, which include 4 World Heritage Sites, 2 National Parks and numerous newly defing National Landscapes

My specialities are Cornish Mining, Transport (road, rail river and canal) and Natural Habitats. I can also offer fascinating town and village walks including Tavistock, Saltash, Launceston, Callington, Calstock and Plymouth, including the Barbican, Plymouth Hoe and the Royal Citadel.

During 2020 and 2021 I have also been delivering virtual walks and talks on a number of subjects

Watch this space for upcoming bookable tours … Plymouth in WWII, 200 years since the death of Napoleon, and Mayflower connections in Devon plus a speciality walk around the highest point in the Tamar Valley
