A very special place to stay on the Bere Peninsula, Devon. This refurbished traditional slate-hung ‘one-up-one-down’ former silver miner’s cottage was built in the 1800s. Set in the Tamar Valley National Landscape and Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape World Heritage Site and very close to the Tamara Coast to Coast Way, there are great views of Cornwall and you can share use of our quarter acre garden. Full self-catering or you can book breakfast and/or evening meals made by Martin, a professional chef. Birland Cottage is a self-contained annexe with its own private entrance.
Downstairs, the small kitchen area comes with induction hob, microwave, fridge, sink, kettle (plus tea, coffee and milk), toaster and all your cooking, crockery and cutlery essentials. There’s also a sofa, bookcase with local brochures and maps, a dining table and chairs – with eating on the patio in the summer an option. Upstairs, you’ll find a double bed, chest of drawers, TV, books to read, board games and an en suite shower room. Free Wifi is available throughout. Separate wet clothes, muddy boots and bike storage available.
