Full information

Pawprints Lodge our detached ‘Home from Home‘ is a 2 bedroomed lodge located at Notter Mill Country Park just outside Saltash, Cornwall. It is all on one level once you step inside (only 1 step).

During the spring you can enjoy the perfume of the wisteria and the lovely flowers trailing over the fencing at Pawprints Lodge and in the summer there are roses and honeysuckle to enjoy.  If it is too hot you simply retire to the shade of the gazebo or stroll down to the outdoor heated pool.

At the rear of the property there is a picnic table and a charcoal BBQ for your use under the shade of a tree.  There is also a cherry tree and an apple tree, please help yourself to any fruit if you get there before the birds or squirrels.

In the evenings you can sit outside and look at the night sky whilst listening to the owls hooting on their night-time hunts.

A maximum of 6 guests (including children) can be accommodated at Pawprints Lodge. We can also take up to 2 dogs free of charge.

Notter Mill Country Park is situated alongside the River Lynher and is a small family run park with only 23 lodges on site.

The on-site entertainment consists of a heated outdoor pool, a large recreation field with children’s play equipment and a tennis court.  There is also a woodland dog walking space with mown grass tracks through it and access to the river for paddling.

The River Lynher valley is a tranquil and relaxing place for a short or a long break, holiday or business.  You may even catch sight of some trout or the shy and quite elusive kingfisher.

A 6 or 7 minute walk down the lane leading to Pawprints Lodge is The Notter Bridge Inn with its open fires in the winter and its garden in the summer.  Clare presides over the bar and John is a whizz in the kitchen preparing his very popular Sunday lunch.

Notter Bridge Inn is so popular you need to book a month in advance for Sunday lunch during the summer (No food served after Sunday Lunch until Tuesday, they are closed Mondays).

Pawprints Lodge is perfectly places for visiting the cities of Plymouth with it’s Naval history and of course the Plymouth Gin Distillery and also the small capital city of Cornwall, Truro with its cathedral with 3 turrets and the peaceful water gardens.

If you prefer walking or hiking in the moors Dartmoor with the famous Dartmoor Jail and Jail Ale and Bodmin Moor who has a jail that offers a very interesting historical tour or eat in the restaurant attached.

For beach lovers there are lots of lovely scenic coves on the Cornish coast, Ready Money Cove  at Fowey is delightful, as well as the more bustling beaches such as Looe with its fabulous fish harbour and boat tours and Seaton which is very popular with dog walkers.
