If getting away from it all was your intention then Glamping Pods are the perfect choice for those that are perhaps not quite into camping, but still want to feel immersed in the great outdoors! This quiet riverside location offers an idyllic base, lacking in both amusements and entertainment venues, there is nothing to detract from taking in your natural surroundings whilst dining alfresco from your decking, or opening up your twin double doors to take in the starry night sky and sounds of the river.
Nestled in the wooded valley running along the Lynher River, Notter Bridge Holiday Park lies in a sheltered position amidst the natural untamed woodland, diverse blossoming gardens and coniferous canopies, with it’s own small fishing lake and natural wildlife trails, all making up this idyllic and tranquil holiday setting. Their Glamping Pods are a perfect couple’s getaway, or the perfect stop gap on your walking holiday along the Tamara way, or alternatively just a great economic option for those visiting family in Devon and Cornwall!
The park is perfectly situated just off the A38, joining the Devon expressway to Cornwall meaning you have the best of two Counties to discover right on your doorstep.
The winding River Lynher is home to a large variety of local wildlife from white throated dippers, to river otters, vibrant kingfishers, avocets and wrens to little moorhens with the local rod & line fisherman occasionally littering it’s banks.
Go on a woodland discovery with acres of untouched forest to explore in the park itself, or head across the road along the river for superb walking trails, at the end of the Park is the slipway onto the River Lynher, perfect for canoes, kayaks, or paddle boards. Just opposite the entrance lies the Notter Bridge Inn, offering a great atmosphere, friendly dining experience inside or out, with delightful hosts Clare and John cooking up a storm of fresh, wholesome food (just remember to book in advance to avoid disappointment.)
