Jo has a passion for tourism businesses with over fifteen years’ experience in the industry.  She has worked in Destination Marketing and headed up two key UK destinations – Stratford Upon Avon and Oxfordshire. Jo is now the Strategic Director of Visit Dartmoor.

Two years ago, Jo moved back to her home county of Devon and worked for the prestigious Bovey Castle Hotel and Buckland Tout Saints (both part of the Eden Hotel Collection) in a Business Development Role, building new corporate links and raising the profile of both hotels in the South West.

During her time in Devon, Jo has joined the Visit Dartmoor team as their Strategic Director –  developing tourism strategies and marketing campaigns, in partnership with Dartmoor National Park Authority.  Jo has helped to position Visit Dartmoor as a key player on the local and national tourism platform.

Through working with Dartmoor businesses, Jo identified the need for collaboration, and consequently founded the Dartmoor Business Network, in partnership with Visit Dartmoor and Claire Doyle Marketing.  This network supports local businesses, in and around Dartmoor, and facilitates them in building new relationships with each other and forging new partnerships to develop additional revenue streams.
